not eating for 3 month
hi guys.
need help in here
all of my ball python (male and female) they all refuse 2 eat almost 3 month
its start on april till today (they still about 600-800 grams, so i'am not breeding them).before that they are aggressive eater.
i live in indonesia so its quite hot in here, the room temp is about 30 Celsius in day and 29 in the night.
they all live in the same room, i try 2 move all the male 2 different room but seems have no effect.
i'am just worried, are they sick or something, maybe get parasite or worm inside their body?
they all look find, but refusal 2 eat is worries me, specialy the female
thanks 4 the concern

Re: not eating for 3 month
What kind of enclosures are they in? Do they each have their own enclosure?
Do each of them have a nice tight hide (or two).
As long as they are maintaining their weight fairly well then there isn't much to be concerned about. Sometimes they just fast.

Re: not eating for 3 month
well for a snake that size 3 months isn't really that long. They could stop fasting tomorrow, they could stop fasting 3 months from now. There is no way to tell when they will go back on feed.
It is a little peculiar that they all stopped at the same time. Perhaps check and make sure your temps are correct? You could try and throw in a second hide for each of them and see if that helps.

Do you see mites on them? That's how you know. Just like fleas.

Re: not eating for 3 month
i dont thing there is a mites, all clean and clear (i'am sure of it)
i just see a video from 8ballpython.com that tell us to put a full container of rat inside the room for 60 minute before feeding...i might try that 2moro.
this might be the culprit because my snake used 2 be housed near rat cage, now they move quit a far from rat cage.
is anybody in here know how internal parasite (like worm and stuff) get 2 your snake?...i'am pretty new 2 snake keeping so iam still try to understand many things about it
thanks

Re: not eating for 3 month
I would think from the food. If rats have parasites, snake eats rat, rat dissolves in stomach, parasite is released inside stomach of snake. With a fecal sample, a vet could tell you if they have parasites.
Because they stopped eating at the same time, I'm thinking that some change affected them both at that time. The lack of prescent in the room before feeding could be it.
