Unhappy kind of a bum clutch :(

the last of my big het pied girls layed yesterday. i was/am really excited about this clutch because she was originally bred to a mojave het pied and then i backed him up with my pied male. she ovyed a week later. so she layed 8 eggs. one of them a slug and only two of them looked fertile when i candled them but hey 2 eggs is still allot better than none

sorry i dont have pics. i dont have a working camera at the moment.

Candle again in a week--if the eggs are still looking good on the outside, I'd wager most if not all of the yellow-candled eggs will have veins. Either way, good luck! Mojave Pieds are smoking hot.

    Cheers,
    -Matt

yeah canlde them again after a bout 5 days. My het pied to het pied ehggs were laid Friday, and the veins were not really good and in one i think I saw only 2 veins .. I happen to check them all again last night before I wento to bed and all my eggs got huge veins. (I bet blood could be drawn if needed from a couple of them they so big)

Good luck on them. I feel your pain. Just re-candled a clutch of 3 eggs (4 slugs) and 1 of them that had weak veins after they were layed isn't going to make it.
