He's only about 1 and 1/2 feet long, pretty fat... and i fell asleep holding him (stupid ass me)... he couldnt of escaped my room unless he can fit under 1/8th " door... which seesm improbably. theres baseboard heating but i inspected it and theres no way out, just the wiring that does the heat...
where would he go? im so sad :<

Re: Ppython escaped!
Check small spaces, even ones you think would be too small or improbable. Dark and warm more often than not. Under dressers, laundry piles, etc.
Luring him back is unlikely and not even worth trying at this point. Just look around for him, thoroughly, and he will likely be close.

Re: Ppython escaped!
It's worth checking, though he's likely on or very close to the floor.
They can squeeze through spaces that seem too small for them. Are you understating the distance when you say the door is 1/8" from the floor?

Re: Ppython escaped!
This brings me back to my early days of being a BP owner lol...Mine actually made his way all the way down the hall into my other room where I had a tank of Rats. He was trying to slither up the rack!

Re: Ppython escaped!
Check under the mattress. In the closet. Behind everything against the wall. In boxes, drawers. If the doors were shut, and there are no spaces, I doubt she got out of the room, so just tear the entire thing apart. They can also manage to climb to unlikely places, so maybe check the trash can and any shelves. If it might be hungry, try luring with a food item in a cage, maybe with a space heater focused on it. If it's f/t, put it in a soda bottle they can get into. They may stay after eating. These are just tricks I've heard.

Re: Ppython escaped!
check everywhere even if you think its impossable and if you cant find him try running a rat across the edge of the wall next to the floor to scent it then place the rat in a hide on the floor to try and lure him out, sprinkle flour on the floor (if its wooden lol) to see if you can see any tracks give it about an hour with the lights off in the room and the door closed. not my ideas and i'll give credit where its due but i cant remember who posted these first.
good luck finding him

Re: Ppython escaped!
i checked my hamper, all my drawers, under mattress, i have a futon so idk if theres spots he can hide in that but i looked. i looked under my cpu table (which has a flat wooden floor piece, my computer, im worried he mighta climbed into my damn subwoofer... its only like 4 inches off ground, the hole that goes in...idk if i wanna break it open to see that hes not there...
can he climb up clothes to get onto shelves in closets? doubt it.... when he gets hungry hes bound to come out to the place where he knows he gets fed right:???
