    Feeding Response

I fed my newer BP, Herbert, tonight. He struck with such a force it took the tongues out of my hand. He then proceeded to grab the mouse and 'kill' it (I only feed f/t) and then took it into his hide.
I thought that was fine as thats what he's done the last two times. The last two times however, he proceeded to eat it in his hide. This time he stored it. 20 minutes later I defrosting the mouse for the other snake and I see Herbert dragging the mouse out of his hide and start to eat it. I had to double check the thawing container to make sure that some how he didn't escape, claim the mouse, make it all the way back to the cage and shut it without me noticing.

Has anyone else ever noticed their BPs storing food for later?

    Re: Feeding Response

Sometimes they will just sit there and check it over for a good 10-15 minutes before they actually start eating. I have seen this happen quite a few times.

I feed live and after the kill, they will sometimes look at it for a couple minutes!
