    Argument about RI's

Got into it with a friend of mine today about respiratory infections. He thinks you can just turn the heat up if you catch it early and cure a bp that way, so the snake doesn't need any antibiotics. I'm of the impression that the snake needs meds once the infection starts no matter what, because it's an infection and I'm pretty sure most of those, respiratory or not, require medical assistance in order to heal.

Is there a middle ground to this? From everything I've read on here and everywhere else, antibiotics have always been in the equation, but I'm sure that there have been those instances that turning up the heat or whatever might have done it. None of my bp's - or any other of my creepy crawlies - have ever gotten an RI so I'm not entirely sure.

    Antibiotics, or no?

    Sometimes yes

RI's CAN be treated with heat

    When they're caught early enough

    But each case is different
