Update on Work Beardies
Well I have not been able to get their UVB light changed but so far, they seem to be doing okay. They can get up close to the bulb without actually being able to touch it. We shall see. Whenever I open I make sure to be the one to feed the reptiles. We have 3 bearded dragons in right now, all 3 from the previous posts about our beardies at work. One is small but he ate 6-8 crickets for me this morning. The other two ate 10 each. I open tomorrow too so they will get the same. That is all I can really do and I hope it is enough for them to stay healthy. The larger one is my favorite. He eats like a machine (he ate 10 but I could have fed him more if my manager had not been hovering. We are only supposed to give them a few).
I wish my manager had been standing there when I was talking to a lady who has beardies. She just hatched some babies out recently and she made the comment her 1 month old dragons are the same size as our 2-3 month old dragons. Haha. Take that Petsmart! Oy. I like working there with the animals but sometimes Petsmart just really bugs me.

Re: Update on Work Beardies
Oh I would take them home in a heartbeat! They are awesome little guys (or gals, not sure) They have such personality. But I've promised hubby that I would not bring home any more animals that I actually have to purchase. And these guys are around $60 each.
I will attempt to give them more crickets when no one is looking. How many should they be eating in one sitting? They are getting about 10-12 per day when I work. I can try and sneak in a 2nd feeding a day if I'm careful.

Re: Update on Work Beardies
Well my husband is a sucker for a baby animal in need, but unfortunately, bearded dragons can't make those cute kitty eyes. He doesn't like lizards all that much. He's said that I can get a bearded dragon when we move into our own place again, but that might be months away.
These beardies, if I remember right, range between 2-3 months old. We usually get them in when they are 1-2 months old.

Re: Update on Work Beardies
Oh yea that is what mine said.... Now he totally loves Bob...but tries NOT to show it. Today I needed his help and I always rock Bob to sleep. Well I asked him to do it and he did....it was the cutest thing ever. Big ole military tough guy rocking a beardie to sleep. He said, "Honey, Bob keeps rubbing his head on my chin and it tickles a little bit. Is he suppose to be doing that?" LOL...Bobs a cuddle bunny!!
