Where to get rats in GA?

Hello, all! I have recently relocated my family to GA (south of Atlanta) and am trying to figure out where to get rats from. I'm a little over 2 hours away from mice direct, although I would have to buy a bag of 50 pups and I just don't need that many, LOL! I'm about 1.25 hours from Columbus and 30 min out of Atlanta. I just have no idea where to start. I don't really have a ton of money to drive all over creation, and am limited in my phone use to call every pet shop within 75 miles! Anyway, any help you can give me I'd appreciate it! Live or frozen it doesn't matter. I feed my snakes f/t fwiw.

All PetCo's carry f/t, as well as Pet Supplies Plus (even though they don't advertise it). I'd imagine you'd have a PetCo near you, I have three within driving distance from me on the north side.

Buy live from local pet store and thump them until you can find someone close to you with a colony.

petco has both. but the one nearest me closed so i have to settle for petsmart prices

Im in GA no only been here for 6 weeks i found a petco that has rats for 5$ thats a steal to me coming from the maryland/D.C area.

You can try to look for suppliers online that ship out F/T rodents.

If you are looking into breeding, you can try to find rat breeders in your area, or buy your rats from Petsmart or Petco (do not tell them you have snakes or using them for breeding). I believe it's around $10 for one rat.

Thanks for all the replies! I cannot breed my own rats as I'm highly allergic to them! If I'm not careful on feeding day (not touching the rats or if I do, washing my hands BEFORE I touch anything else) I get a crazy allergic reaction and my eyes swell up like golf balls! My guys are on pups and small rats so buying the ones at PetSmart wouldn't work. I'm in Newnan if that helps. I have no problem buying live and putting them out myself, it's just finding a place to buy them from! If $ wasn't an issue I'd just order from the place in Cleveland. Prototype I've PM'd you!

Oh, I am planning on going to the repticon in Lawrenceville this July. I hope to purchase some there. Does anyone know what vendors usually go to that one that supply feeders?

The ones that I have seen are localish guys, the best time to get deals are on sunday, theyre more willing to make deals being that they dont want to haul it all back home.
