Baby blue dragon sculpture
Hey all. Been a long time since I posted. Life exploded in my face around...oohh...January 4th...and has been exploding just about every day since then. I haven't really had the energy, time, or motivation to do anything on the net, but I'm back now! Worst college semester of my LIFE. I learned not to take 2 courses with the same professor just because they sound like good electives without googling the teacher first.
ANYHOW. I've done a little sculpture work in the mean time, and here's one little guy. Baby blue and white fluffball dragon! He was much, much uglier before he got his fur in. He's basically a big sheet of aluminum foil mushed up in the vague shape of a pillar with a couple pieces of wire sticking out the back, and lots and lots of polymer clay on top with some glass half-spheres for eyes, acrylic painted pupils and color on the back, and rabbit fur for the fur, with stone beads for the 'ground'.
Whatcha think? Like, dislike?

That's all!

I had the same problem. You know those little glass beads that go at the botttom of fish tanks, the ones you can get in the baggies for like $3? I used those and just painted the flat backs! Somehow, the shape of the glass distorts the eye underneath and makes it so that the eye "looks" at you no matter which way the sculpture's head is turned! It's actually sorta creepy, but at the same time, really cool, lol.
I took some pictures, because I don't think I explained that very well. Hope this helps!

Sorry for the blurriness, my camera died after that second picture.
