    Valve O Ring?

I have had my Vari-flow valves in service for many years and I figure it is time to rebuild them. I am going to strip them down and CLR the brass and Stems and I would like to replace the O-Rings. I am not going to pay .35 ea for them from Agselect since I need 100s of them and I know they are cheap in any other industry that they are used. So I am asking does anyone know what sizes the two O-rings are in these valves?

    Thanks Ryan

    #5 O-Ring at Home Depot.

Here are the specs on the package.

    3/8" O.D. x 1/4" I.D x 1/16"

Thanks for the info on the outer one. The small stem one looks like a silicon o ring and not a EPDM type that the black one is. Have any ideas on the smaller one?

You could always take one with you to the store and just compare them to find the right size -- that's what I usually do in those types of situations.

Oh You're talking about the little Pink and or Yellow ones?

Reptile Basics has them for .24 cents each if You buy 100 plus.

If You find them cheaper LMK...I'm about to do the same thing with about 100 plus valves.

Yes the black ones are easy but the pink/yellow ones (I am pretty sure made of silicone) are not as easy to find. With over 200 to do .30 ea is to much for a part that I have seen similar items go for 3.00-6.00 for a 250 count on the net. If I new for sure what it was I could order cheap ones. Do you think using black ones would work? I figure they use softer ones for a reason. On the bigger original valves they use black ones (EDPM). I e-mailed Edstrom but I doubt they will tell me.
