    SUPER frustration...

    Someone please tell me that I'm not alone in having ruined a few feet of heat tape in first attempts to solder/wire it?? It's turning out to be more tricky than I first thought. I even burnt the tip of my finger, UGH!

    how did you ruin it? I solder all my connections and I have never had a problem..

    well obviously, but I just don't see how you could ruin it. If you mess up on the edge, just cut it off and try again on a fresh bit. You don't need to scrap the whole strip.
