    Gravid Progress?

I know you all are probably beyond tired of people asking ' is this snake gravid or not?' but I'm gonna have to jump on that band wagon myself
if I can get this right this would be my only girl I'm hoping to get my first ball clutch from but she seems to either playing games or just want me out of the loop of things.

Shes been bred several times by my dinker male and I also put my butter in with her and thought I may have seen a lock way early in the season. Either way I know the job got done by one of them at least.

I've tried palpating and at the most I could only feel 2 or 3 good lumps but I was just not confident to keep doing it so much. Things only started getting confusing as of recently she gave me a shed April 6th nothing much seemed to change , she locked a couple more times then stopped. this is when I figured I must have missed her ovulation ( despite my checking on her twice a day) lo and behold another month goes by and she sheds again. May 14th
the first 2 pics I believe I took right after her shed

This last pic was taken today 19th.

She has a 'thick' look about her but she has always been a big girl since I aquired her. Prebreeding weight she was around 2500g, as of me weighing her last week she's 2,832g.(and thats with at least 3 months of refusing food, that must count for something) ..I guess my real question is how long is it before you can just look at her and know shes gravid, or is it never really that apparent till a week or 2 before she lays? I'm still iffy on her being gravid but the 2 sheds within a little over a months time leads me to believe the shed on the 19th is her prelay.

    Re: Gravid Progress?

Each female is different. Some small girls hide it well, some big girls hide it well. Some can't hide it at all and look about to explode the whole time.

Personally, to me, it looks like she's gravid. Is she on the hot side a lot? Stopped eating? Stopped locking with males?

I'm not sure if she screams "about to go", but I'd have the incubator ready soon.

    Re: Gravid Progress?

Yea she hasnt eaten in at least 3 or 4 months, I forgot the exact time when she started refusing food, and she started refusing the males about halfway into April. For a while she was still pressing herself to the cool side but refusing the males , I was thinking she was going to reabsorb, and then she started hanging on the warm side a bit more often , its after this second shed she seems to be content and actually hang out on the warm side. I guess missing the ovulation makes everything after that guesswork until she either starts to show or actualy lays.
