    Significance of a "ringer"?

I have recently bought 2 ball pythons that apper to me have the ringer spots on them. I will try to post some pics later of each of them. What would classify a snake to have a "ringer" on them? This is just one of the things that I have never gotten a clear answer on so I don't know if these 2 snakes are considered to have ringers on them or not. Does this mean anything for breeding?
Too many snakes to list. Ball pythons, Gtp's and Boa's. It easier to say it that way.

Ringers, if I remember correctly, are non-genetic; it just sorta pops up from time to time.

Ringers usually have a spot on the side of their bodies with white creeping up, and/or an orange ring wrapping around that area, hence "ringer". The amount of white varies from snake to snake, some have alot, some have hardly any.
