    will any red lighting work?

so I got this snake room.
and at night i use a small night light (15-watt filament bulb, no color)to light the room a bit, just so i wont be blind when i enter the room. Im just concern if this small night light would disturb the photoperiod these guys are having.

    my idea.
what if i swap the night light with a brighter red color bulb. that way, if i can use a red light bulb, i can see everything (even if its in red) but the snakes will still think its night time.

am i correct here? or am i make such sense..

I think the blue ones are the night ones though?

So this is just the regular light for the room? Do you keep it on all night?

If you just flip it on when coming in the room at night, it doesn't really matter what color it is. As long as they have a good period of darkness, they will be fine if you interrupt it sometimes.

A nightlight isn't going to disturb the photoperiod any more than moonlight would. Nightlights just aren't that bright. Unless of course, you have the nightlight right on top of a tub.
