    Red face I caved

    Hi,

OK I managed to sell a whole mess of snakes today for a good price so I decided to treat myself to some cute.

Total impulse buy I am ashamed to say - I only saw it yesterday.

It is tiny - only 3-3.5 inches nose to tail tip.

So can someone tell me what the pattern is called on him - I think the seller said buckskin?

I may need to tweak the enclosure slightly but want to let him settle in a bit first.

They said in the shop he had been eating crickets and Komodo crested gecko diet so I have made up a little of the komodo but have also ordered some repashy base and some papaya flavour ( wanted mango but the seller was out ). How do you find out which flavour they like as at £8.99 ( $13.06 ) a bag buying all the flavours could get expensive.

Since I think it is too small to sex I have decided to call it Lucien and change it to lucy if it turns out to be female.

So far lucien has had a drink from water droplets when I misted the tank but hasn't come down from the top of the viv to look at the food or the waterbowl.

That is one cute crestie Derek. I never paid attention to geckos at all until I saw Steffe's cresties. Now I think they are the cutest things with those big eyes

Oh man so pretty! I keep avoiding anything Bearded Dragon related because I know I'm gonna end up getting one! Which I do want one, but not now

EDIT: Monica is really not helping with her Avatar... LOL.

Beardies are expensive little buggers their first year. You might be better off getting a crestie like that one up there lol.

My hands get clumsy from time to time. It just the way I am. I dont think a small lizard is a good idea. My friends have Leos and Crested. I try not to handle them too much lol. I really like Beardies, but not now!

I knew you'd eventually get a crested! Cute little one too--it is a harlequin. The colors may change some as it grows, but it just depends on the genetics.

    Nice harlequin!

"Caving in" is so easy with crested geckos. You won't regret it, I guarantee you

Just get the complete diet. It's the one that you don't have to mix--the flavor and base is all together in one mix. It's easier and pretty much all rhacs will eat it.
