    whooo hooo his first rat

So I have a Mojave that Ive wanted to switch to rats from the mice he was on. So last week I skipped feeding him. This week I got a small fuzzy rat pup and a large mouse. I left the mouse and the rat in the same cage for about an hr. I then put the pup in the tub with my Mojave. Within 10 min or so he had it gone.

Re: whooo hooo his first rat

Awesome news. I have a normal who was a mouse eater. He was severely underfed as a hatching, and when I tried to switch him he refused for over a month before I caved and gave him a mouse. This past week, on a whim, I tried offering him a rat, and he reluctantly took him. Here's hoping both of ours are now strong rat eaters.

Last night I switched my bp to rats first try! I just thawed it with a mouse in the same bag. Pretty happy!

Re: whooo hooo his first rat

You know I actually just switched to rats yesterday. I didn't skip the week of feeding, but Cincy took down the rat within 5 minutes. I had been feeder her 2 mice a week for about 3 months, and felt it was time to step up to small rats. Congrats tho!
