Nightmares!

A little off topic but BP related and I thought it was kinda funny.

So I was in dream land around 3 o'clock this morning enjoying the nice big female I just acquired, she was normal but she was a nice breeder. Then BOOM she's got ticks! Where did the ticks come from? I was ticked (haha just noticed the pun, not intended) and the dream was over.

I didn't think the folks here would really care, y'all would just understand better.

I have a dream almost every single night about crazy stuff happening to my BPs. Sometimes the heat mats short out and all I find is a disintegrating snake! Sometimes they escape and get sick, sometimes we have an earth quake and the tank cracks and kills them (which is especially weird because I don't even use tanks). Talk about creepy dreams.


I find myself getting out of bed at all hours of the night to make sure my babies are still alive and well.

Funny dream

I had a weird one myself the other night...

I "woke up" and went to my BP's tank where he, what I can only describe as a bark at me. Not a dogs bark but kinda a muzzled grunting noise. Not happy to say the least.

Literally took me about 3 days to realize it was just a dream.

Way back when, we had a rescue RTB and simultaneously had a pet rat... I had some crazy dream about the RTB getting out and eating Bunny Rat, only in my dream, the snake was about 20 ft long lmao.

Looking back, I guess it's not too weird, the idea of a snake eating a rat, lol.. but it was a weird dream at the time.

I do the same thing. If I wake up at any time during the night I feel like I have to check the temps and humidity...

Once, when I was a novice snake keeper, my first BP got loose from his tank. (yes, I had a tank at that time) I was realy upset I couldn't find him. About 1 week later, I had a dream I found him......underneath my bed, in the boxspring inbetween the bed frame. Well, when I awoke,....I actually checked there. And that's where he was!!!! I think dreams are a way the mind "sorts things out".

Had a dream one of my bp's escaped, I woke up and he was gone found him later under the dresser

I've yet to have any dreams about my BP, but my brother told me about a weird one he had.

I had brought her over to show my brother, and while she was slithering on the floor, I told him to not let her get under the couch. Once she hooks her head under there, she's gone into the couch and you'll have a hell of a time flipping the couch over trying to get her, I said. Well, the following night, in his dream, she had done just that. She way halfway under, when he tried to pull her out...

... And she ripped in half in his hands.
