Re: need to identify my boa
The dark gray one is a Red Tailed Boa.
The light colored one looks like a Motley BCI.

Re: need to identify my boa
I would have to disagree with the motley boa.....
I would say that you have a nice dark BCI and the other could possibly be a pastel boa...I have seen non-pastels just as light as that one.
Either way they are both nice pickups.

Re: need to identify my boa
yeah my seller told me that it was pastel as well (but the previous owner told him that it was normal ... and my seller got it as normal n then sold it to me as normal but he sure that it was pastel)
btw, for the dark one, will the color stays dark like that ? coz I love that color very much.

Re: need to identify my boa
I would 'label' them as both common Colombian BCI. The dark one might have some Central American influence in it's genes somewhere. Hard to know without knowing both of the boas backgrounds.

x2. Without a genetic background, assumptions can't be made, but I agree that the dark one looks similarly to a CA or a Nic.

There's no way to tell for sure. Boas do change colors with age, usually developing darker, richer colors and higher contrast, but you can't know how they're going to end up unless you've got pics of the parents.
