    My Dumbo Pair

A couple weeks ago I picked up feeders and I ended up getting a male dumbo rat ... I'm a sucker for dumbos

I did offer him to the snake he was supposed to be fed to 3 times but since she won't eat him, I've decided to keep him. No name yet, I think he is a black berkshire

Today I picked him up a beautiful dumbo girlfriend, I have no idea what color/pattern she is so please help me with that. No name yet but I'm sure I'll think of something:

I can't wait until they are big enough to make some babies!
Although, for the most part, their offspring will be feeders

Oh my gosh they are soooooo cute!!!

I think the male is a Black Irish, because his tail isn't white. Is the very tip of his tail white? If it is, he's an Irish.

    IDK about the girl....

His tail is completely black, he has white feet and two patches of white on his belly.

The girl just confuses me lol

The male looks like an irish if he has an all black tail and the spots on his belly are random. The girl looks to be a cocoa or a very dark beige. Only time will tell with her! Cute dumbos, can never have too many dumbos!

According to show standards he's supposed to have a white tip, one white spot on his belly, and for white feet. He's an Irish though, Berks have white bellies and white tails.

That girls is sort of a Berkshire, but with a lot of white up her sides.

That's totally it! We might have to offer that term for the show standards!

    Re: My Dumbo Pair

Well sucky update, I decided to put the male down. He started loosing circular patches of hair, and it looks like it may have been ringworm (basically same fungus as atheletes foot). I havn't changed his enviorment or food, so it wouldn't have been from some irritant. Plus, I didn't want to risk getting ringworm again from a rat like I did last year. I'm not sure how he could have got it, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Right now I'm just keeping an eye on Anabelle (the girl), hoping she doesn't get it too.
