Hey everyone. I am 21 years old and I am from Queens, NY. I love basketball and animals and I've had several pets in my life including fishes, frogs, hamsters, parakeets, rabbits, turtles, and a German Shepard mix Rottweiler.

This is my first time owning a ball python. I've always liked snakes as a child but I never thought it was possible to own one. I went to a pet store in Stony Brook, LI recently and saw a normal adult female ball being sold and it sparked my interest all over again. After that, I went home and started doing my research and I found out almost everything I could about ball pythons from the internet. I went to several pet stores and even contacted a nearby breeder. In the end, I ended up picking up a normal 1 year old male from Jungle Bob's Reptile World in Long Island.

Before I purchased him I got a lot of my information from this site and hopefully I can learn a lot more from everyone here. I love just looking through the threads and reading about everyone's experiences.
