So I got asked to take some pics of how I set up babies, juvi's, and adults.
Babies up to 500+ grams are put in a 6qt tub with a water bowl and a flower pot saucer for a hide like so
See they even have room to stretch out
Once they get to a certain point I can pull the hide out since the tub then serves as their hide
Males and sub adult females go in a 28qt tub again with a larger flower pot saucer and again a water bowl. This male is and 08 and 1000+ grams
Adults depending on their feeding habits may or may not get a hide in a 41 qt tub and a water bowl..this is a 1800+ gram female that doesn't need a hide.
where as some females seems to do better with a hide in the larger tub. For that I use the Med Van Ness kitty litter pans with a hole cut in one of the sides..
Waiting to move them up from a 6qt to a 28 has really improved my ability to keep them on food after the move. I've moved them to soon and had them go off food for months, no body likes that. When I have to take the water bowl out to feed them that's when I know its time to move them.
Females like the albino above may look like they are ready but she stayed in that tub for another 2 months she's now 1200 grams and in a 28 qt tub.
Not every thing I have mentioned will work in every collection or with every snake. But it's a good base to build on.
Hope this helps
