How do you know its an AX???

I saw an add on KS that states super lesser leucistic axanthic. How in the world do you know if a leucy is also an AX? Its a great combo for breeding IMO. If you would be breeding it to anything other than a leucy producing morph. I just dont see how a person could tell. Is there something to look for? The add states a red pupil is the key. Has anyone else ever done this? Is this true?

There are 2 different ads on KS for super lessers with red pupils.
One is for a super lesser axanthic and it says you can tell what it is from the red pupils.
The other is for a super lesser pied and it says you can tell what it is from the red pupils.
I wouldn't know what to believe.

I also saw a super mojave for sale once with one blue eye and one red one. They were saying it was just an odd super mojave and not a combo.

For me I wouldnt purchase one unless it had been bred and proven. If like you say, a red pupil can happen with just a straight super mojave then how could you be positive its an ax trait without breeding?

i beleive the BEL axanthic that you are talking about had black eyes with red pupils instead of the blue eyes. thats the only reason its also an axanthic IMO

No. This is a lesser x lesser leucy. It has blue eyes with a reddish pupil. Not as red as a black eyed leucy pupil though.

I suppose you could know by the parentage. Were both parents axanthic?
