Trying to get my tubs working please help?
I just set up tubs for my snakes because it was too difficult to keep accurate temps and humidity in my tanks. My question is do I need 1 thermostat per tub set up, because I have two tubs set up identically and plugged into my thermostat, the one with the probe is perfect but the one without it is 10 degrees higher so is it the thermostat or the heating pad causing this issue (it’s a fluker heating pad, taped to the tub with aluminum tape)?
P.S. It’s a Zilla thermostat. I know it’s cheap and you get what you pay for but I am saving up to get a rack and a helix this is only for a couple of months

Hmm im not to sure
You have the zilla tempature control tstat?
Im using the same exact thing. With 2 pieces of flexwatt hooked up to it. It keeps them at the same temps pretty much.

Yes that is exactly what I have, every thing is identical but the temps are different, this is very frustrating.

Are they right next to each other? Same tubs? Same ammount of substrate? Cuz i think if u have more substrate it "insulates" the heat. Not to sure. Same uth's?

I am will to bet its the heating device! Are your tubs in a rack or just on a shelf or table. Temps can and do fluctuate from one pad to the next.

One thing that you could do is get 1 large UTH and set the ends of both tubs on it. That way they will be heated by the same source...

Didnt even think of that just lay a large uth on the table and place them over it, kinda like a rack without the shelves. Thanks
