    thermostat Q

i have two BP's in tubs, i have two reptitemp 500's controlling a single heat pad. i was wondering if reptitemp 500's could be used with over head lights to control ambient temps?? cuz i was thinking of pluggin the heat pads into one thermostat, and the heat lamps into the other thermostat.

You could, but if you are using something like a red bulb, the light will be constantly going on and off. A CHE would work fine, but a lamp that puts out light would get kind of annoying after a while.

oh I see. I think the dimmer are fine if you are just using them for ambient temps and they are fairly far away from the tubs.
