    BP scaring me

My 400g spider is sitting with his head under the water of his water dish. you can watch the bubbles come up. He is doing it for like a minute, coming up and getting air then going back down with his head just layin on the bottom. i moved him once but within five minutes he was back again. Is this normal or is it something to be worried about?

    Any sign of mites?

    Temps too high?

    Maybe he's really thirsty?

If he's coming back up for air, then at least he's not drowning. If he keeps it up though, I'd check your husbandry.

If it was mites you think he's soak his whole body... Thats weird. Maybe still check for mites and check over the husbandry?

    I never read about that.

Maybe he's telling you he to be named snorkel.

Edit: Oh NM you already did all that

mites can be tricky, check in the vents, they get deep in their.
maybe some stuck shed or dry skin on top of head.

he may feel more secure in the water than his hide. some do that. what is the enclosure like? do u have more than one per enclosure?

mites are mostly found around the head first, and when they produce they will spread out and go down the body, but they prefer the eyes, skin fold and heat pits

as i expected everything sounds good. maybe a spike in temps? if he has been doing it for a lil while i would prolly QT for a lil bit until he stops or u figure it out. i wouldnt want mites or something to spread.

I think he's just getting a big drink, sometimes my BPs will sit there once I refilled their dishes with water.
