    Same old Question

I know that it has probably been asked a million times but if the room temperature stays fairly constant (+ or - 5 degrees), what reasoning is there against using a lamp dimmer as a thermostat for a rack?

Or would one of these work well? http://market.kingsnake.com/detail.php?cat=66&de=768388
