Question Quick of the wall question

Hey guys, I have been lurking these forums for a while and finally feel the need to post. I was not shure where to put this but since this is manly about colubrids and not so much ball pythons.

If a snake specificly colubrid where to escape its tank/bin how far would it usally go? as in would it more than likely stay in the same room or go about the house?

    Thanks!

Well That would depend on what kind of colubrid you have, or the tempature in the room. It would factor in so many things. More or less if any snake gets out of its enclosure it would be looking for warmth and or hiding spots. If your snake is small enough floor vents are always a good place to start or in piles of clothes. colubrid is more or less a variety of different kinds of snakes who really dont fit in any other category.

Well, I have only ever owned one king snake, but I'll tell you my experience. When she got out, she some how got out of my house and went over and into my neighbors house. My neighbor is deathly scared of snakes, but knows that I keep them, and some how got her in a paper bag and brought her back to me. Honestly, I don't even want to know how she got the snake in the bag, but I'm glad she didn't kill her. None the less, my neighbor was not happy with her experience, as funny as I found it.

Yeah, my king did it in the matter of two hours, I honestly didn't even know she was gone until my neighbor handed me a paper bag.
