Re: measuring my snakes
The best way that I have done is with a piece of string. Run the string along side their body, then cut it at the end. Same for around the snake at the largest part, just wrap it around the snake and then cut. If you want to weigh them you can buy a kitchen scales that weighs in grams at any Walmart or Target store for around ten dollars.

Re: measuring my snakes
There is certainly a few ways to do it. I usually have just lay the snake against the base of a wall and the snake will usually stretch out along the wall. Of course with a ball there is always the chance of the snake curling up in a ball.

Re: measuring my snakes
I either use the string trick, or their old shed. It moves a lot less without them in it, hahaha

Re: measuring my snakes
I use the string and wall trick! You are looking for a good idea but it will never be exact!

Re: measuring my snakes
Length is really a hard measurement to take accurately. I would just go with weight.

I would use that too, only I've heard that the skins are actually longer because they get stretched in the shedding process. And I'm too stingy. I like being super-accurate.
