Scarred scales? Plus, new sand boa pics

I got a new Kenyan sand boa last week, but she has an odd patch of white scales near her tail. She also has two definitely scarred areas, but I was just checking in to see if this is, indeed, scarred skin.

Anyways, here are some more photos of my pretty girl!

I think that is actually a Saharan Sand Boa and not a Kenyan.
The white area looks like scarring. Are there scales in that area?

Oh, wow, thanks! She was just labeled as "sand boa" at the show, I assumed she was Kenyan. Now that I think about it, there are scales around the edges, but not much and definitely not normal scales. That's a pretty big area, I wonder how it happened?

i think its a kenya... i have one that looks identical.. and i was told mine was a kenya by a breeder.

also its very cool how the 1st two pics actually look like they are continuous with the body... lol

Kenyans have heavily keeled scales on the bottom third of their bodies, and that one looks fairly smooth, leading me to believe it is not a Kenyan. Don't think I've ever seen a Saharan, pretty sweet. And BIG too!

Looked up some Saharan pictures, and I'd have to agree with Trey. Good call!

Re: Scarred scales? Plus, new sand boa pics

I have Saharans and Kenyans. On Kenyans toward the tail the scales are raised, rough. The Saharans are smooth scaled all the way to a very fat tail.

The scar looks like a burn. I have a snake that was chewed on by a rat and it has random scales missing not the big area like yours. Shouldn't affect her in anyway. She definitely is eating by how big she is. She looks good!

Thanks again, guys! I'm happy she's even more special than I thought, haha. Yes, she is a big girl! Love her.
I tried feeding her a live mouse yesterday and she wouldn't take it. I forgot to ask what she was feeding on when I bought her, like an idiot.
