I got a Corn when I was 10. I've spread out from the Colubrids, I'm getting more into boas and pythons. That's where the real muscle comes in, I just love their muscles

They probably cooked from being exposed in that sunlight LOL, I guess most of us just don't know. I always caught small lizards and tried keeping them. Same thing happened. I accidentally left one in the sun so it could bask one time. Left the house and then came back to find a cooked baby lizzy

Im 23 now & my mom was just telling my girlfriend how i would cry like a baby when those snakes died. I just totally lost it when my iguana died lol

My first snake was an amel corn that I got when I was 8 years old. It stayed my only snake for years, died while I was at college, and I didn't get another snake until i graduated.

Had a few garters my dad cought in the yard. We would put them in a 10 gal aquarium with bedding and feed them goldfish. I knew nothing back then but my dad knew enough to get me started lol. We always kept them around until fall and then let them go.

I always wanted a snake but my mother isn't a snake person to put it nicely Now that I have my own place I'm starting to get into them

I don't really know how to answer this one. I was not allowed to own snakes (because they are "of the devil" you know ;0) or verimin (rats) until my father passed in when I was 15. So my first snake I brought home as a rescue when I was 16. I knew next to nothing and I didn't know where to look for good info all the info I could gather was from pet stores. The snake I named Anastasia and "she" was emaciated and dehydrated really bad. I called around and ended up soaking her for 20 min a day in shallow water and force feeding her mice. She died with in a few months. But it did the best I could.

I got another ball python after I moved out (Cecilia) and I had her for about a year before I moved into an apartment that wouldn't let me keep her so I gave "her" to a pet store. I got back into them as an adult in 06.

What I guess I'm trying to say is does 15 qualify as "when I was a kid?" I guess I will say yes.

my parents aren't really into reptiles, and my step mom is terrified of snakes. I got my first one in college.
