Food in, nothing out.

I've had my savannah for a week now. He's a very active guy, fun to watch. He's 9 weeks old and eats regularly. I feed him 4-6 medium crickets every day and he actively hunts them down. He basks and when I enter the room he runs and hides from me lol, so by actions and appearance he's healthy (and according to his vet).

My question is, how often do the deficate? I would think with as much as he's eating he would have gone at least once by now, but I haven't found anything.

His temps range from 80 in the cool end to 100 in the warmer end with a basking spot of 128, durning the day and 72-78 temp range at night. His humidity is 55-68% depending on time of day.

my sav goes once a week. if your concerned, give him/her a warm bath for about 15-20min

My baby sav is around the same age, and is going about every 3 days. He is also eating more though. He is eating 15ish medium crickets a day and some turkey/bone meal mix every 3 days. Something you might wanna do is get a red night bulb to keep the enclosure 80*+ 24 hours a day. I know some people dont, but the research ive done from the people that know what they are talking about say 80*+ at all times is the way to keep a healthy monitor

You say you feed him 4 - 6 crickets daily, but don't state how big he is. At 9 weeks, my Ornate was eating about 15 crickets at noon everyday, and then 1 or 2 pink mice in the early evening everyday. I know Ornates are larger than savs, but I would think your little dude would wolf down a lot more than 6 crickets.

Oh, and my Ornate (now a year and a half and 5 feet) still defecates daily...

Yea, he should be eating a
little more, also scrap the red bulb ideal and get a low watt cermic heat emmiter, most reptiles can still see the red light. I know beardies and torts can see it

Well looks like he has pooped a couple times. I moved his hide today while cleaning the pieces of cricket out of his tank and found two small piles of poo.
