    Gahhh, Thermostat help!!!!!!!!!

Need some help here, Im ready to pitch this rheostat, If I really knew how crappy these things were I wouldnt be using it,(Lol, im not trying to offend anyone using these things but geez, we have an old saying in the consrtuction business, Maybe its the operator and not the machine) Do they make a thermostat with a probe by any chance and if they do name off some brands so I can check on them, I just finished with the ebay thing and I didnt find anything. I need it to hook up to a uth. Any help on this matter would be great, Help a noob out:

Oh heck yeah, there are lots of thermostats with probes. The best, in my opinion is Helix. It's a tad pricey, but my goodness it's worth it! I love mine.

Johnson and Ranco are good too. They are on/off thermostats so they just turn off when it gets to the temp you want. Helix is proportional so it never shuts off, it just uses less power, sort of like a rheostat but MUCH better

I got my Helix from www.reptilebasics.com you can find Johnsons and Rancos there too.

I really wouldn't trust anything cheaper than the Johnson or Ranco. I almost lost my entire collection to a cheap RZilla thermostat, trying to save money. "You buy cheap you get cheap" -Robin (Rabernet)

You'll find that with almost anything you need for ball pythons NO ONE knows what flexwatt is. You pretty much have to buy everything from online specialty stores.

It's went crazy! I went down to check on it one day and it was melted!!! Luckily my temps didn't get too crazy because two weeks before a friend of mine told me I should really put a back up dimmer on that thing just in case. I still use dimmers as back ups for everything because they shut off the power rather than run at full power like thermostats when they fail.

    Re: Gahhh, Thermostat help!!!!!!!!!

Anything has to be better than these fluctuating temps, Im ordering one as we speak. My buddy was telling me to get a zoomeds thermostat but i dont want to waste cash on a cheap one because sometimes I go out of town on work related issues and I dont want the thing crapping out while im gone since its so detrimental for my balls survival.
