    new thermometer

Just picked this up the other day for around 29.99. Its an acurite remote thermometer/hygrometer with probe.(model #00592W) I keep the base on my desk, i dont have to keep going in to check her temps anymore. the temps on the top are the room temps and the one on the bottom are the cage temps, plus you can buy additional thermometers(up to 4) to work on different channels with this thing for additional caging. I love this thing so far. The only setback its a little tricky to get going but its still worth the money

That is pretty interesting. I have seen the wireless models online but I never bothered with them. The transmitters are just so klunky.

    Re: new thermometer

    Heh,

I'm using something similar to monitor my incubator.

The incubator is behind me as I type but the recieving base unit is right behind the keyboard giving me a constant check - and it has a clock on it too.

The air pressure part seems kind of flaky on it though - but it is close enough to give me the impetus to go check the real one to see if it's worth pairing males with females if a weather front is moving in.
