    terrarium cleaners

i'm looking for something that is environment/reptile-friendly with little to no smell. i have my eye on the healthy habitat cleaner from reptilesupply.com, but am not sure if it has a strong smell...it takes almost nothing to make me nauseous. for that reason, i can NOT use bleach & am not sure if the vinegar/water mix will cut through pee on glass...im sure all my substrate will soak up whatever pee my snake does, but i want to be able to clean the bottom of the terrarium monthly as well, but again i have to be careful what i use. anyone got any input/ideas/suggestions?

Vin/water should be enough to clean it

    Re: terrarium cleaners

Hey I actually use a hand steamer. No smell distilled water. I sometimes will chase it with vin water although that last few times I have just been really just used the steamer and gone over things 3 or 4 times. Oh and if you care, a 5% vinegar sol'n kills 99% bacteria, 82% of mold and 80% of viruses. I know salmonella is one of the ones vinegar kills. Hydrogen peroxide is another that kills a bunch of things but it would get expensive as it isn't cheap. Although it is unstable (chemically h2o2) and breaks down easily and quickly (why it foams) to h2o and o water and oxygen so no troubles there. I hope that helps.
