What fell from the sky on 4/14/10?
Because whatever it was, it was HUGE! I was waiting for my relief to show up at work tonight. He gets there and says just prior that the sky lit up and did I see it. No I didn't
So can anyone shed any light on this? I wish I had seen it. He said it was very impressive and he thought it was a plane that exploded.
At aproximately 10:15 Central time (22:15)
From my works point of view which is @ 70 miles south of chicago on I55.
In the North western sky a very large, burning and slow moving object fell from the atmosphere. Looked like a massive shooting star. Burning and with smaller bits and pieces spreading from it.
If anyone saw this or hears what it was I would like to know. I wonder if another of our satellites was due to come down?
Im so mad I missed it! He said it lit up the sky so bright that his truck completely lit up and thats the only reason he looked that direction. I wasnt outside

Could be debris deliberately released or accidental .... one of the space shuttles is still in space right now but not due back until 19th April so dont know what their current mission involves

Probably a meteorite that broke up on entry. They often do.

Wow thanks. That sounds like that was it. Exact time and everything. And from where Im at Wisconsin is NW of Chicago. I wish I had seen it. The guy at work said it was 10 times bigger than any shooting star he ever saw. More like small comet size. That was one big meteor if it was. Thanks for the link

Yeah sorry about that. BG usually likes to come back from Mars late at night when people are sleeping. He'll be more careful next time.

Aw! I would have LOVED to see it! Probly would have been a tiny freaked out, but I for the most part don't believe in aliens.
