odd behavior
So my normal started doing something odd today. Up until now he has acted very ...well normal. He used both his hides, stayed in them during the day...did his normal thermoregulating thing back and forth. Today i noticed him curled up in the front of his tank(not in a hide) in broad daylight. I've kept an eye on him throughout the day and he's been moving back and forth between the spot in the front of his tank, and his warm hide. Do i have anything to be concerned about?
Husbandry is spot on, warm side 93, cool side 80, humidity 57% constant.
The only thing that has changed is i started using chlorohexadine to clean his tank (which i did on saturday).

its just very...odd to see him not in his hide...though he hasnt been acting stressed lately. No wall climbing, and other then being curled up (looking like he's sleeping) in broad daylight not in a hide...he seems fine.

Re: odd behavior
i have ones that stay in there hides till it starts to get dark and just pop there head out of the hide and i have ones that will leave there hide to drink and they will lay in the cool side for a little then go back to there hide. Perfectly normal if u ask me. Long as ur temps are good and hes got his hide and hes not stressed you have nothing to worry about. Every snake is different. Some barely come out at all and others spend a lot of time outside there hide.

Re: odd behavior
How much are you diluting the Chlorhexadine? It may be possible that if the mixture is too strong he may be smelling it and isn't sure about it. But, as long as he isn't continually roaming the tank during the day and continues to to eat regularly I wouldn't worry about it...

Re: odd behavior
Well it looks like he's about to shed, that may explain his odd behavior!
