So the night before I fed my frog some small crickets (smaller than a pencil eraser) and when I woke up the next morning, his intestines were somewhat hanging out... kind of like a pink bubble coming out of his cloaca. I searched online and thought it was prolapse so I did the treatments for prolapse... I did half tbsp sugar and half cup water and let him soak in that for a couple of hours... that didn't work... Next thing I found to do was get some pedialyte and do the same measurements for the same length of time... still no good...

Then I found it could possibly be impaction because he is also getting bloated. It wouldn't surprise me either because he seems to catch rocks more than the crickets but I didn't think of that before because he would always spit the rock back out. I feel very certain that it is a small gravel rock blocking his passage, especially since I did a heat treatment where I kept the water at 85 deg F which should have loosened the blockage if it were vegetation.

I don't know what to do now... any suggestions short of going to a herp vet (none near where I live) ????
