    visionarium stackable terrarium

i ordered one for the bp i plan on getting from fat boys ball pythons. i hope it works out with no problems. anyone have or have had one of these. need to find out if it has any screen on the top of it?
also, will keeping 1 water dish over the uth & 1 on the cool side create the 60% humidity i will need for the snake? i dont want to have to mist the cage at all cuz i heard that causes scale rot & mold build up...dont want that.

    Re: visionarium stackable terrarium

I have two visionariums that I use for my leopard geckos. They have a ventilated top and and sliding glass doors on the front. It may be too small for your BP when it reaches adult size, though. They are a little under the standard 20 gallon long size.

I'm not sure how to answer your question about humidity. If you live in an extremely dry area it may require misting.

Depending on what part of SC you live in you probably won't need extra water bowls for humidity, at least through September, unless you run your a/c alot. Most of the time I have to run extra fans to keep the humidity in my snake tubs down to a good level...

will a 36" wide x 28" deep x 18" high cage be sufficient enough for an adult female bp?
    or will i need a 48" wide x 28" deep x 18" high?

I would be cautious about going with a 18" tall. Some BP's don't like the height very much. You will probably get better results from a tank in the 12-14" tall range...

    Re: visionarium stackable terrarium

I agree height is not important...I also think a 36" tank is plenty big for an adult bp. I have never owned a vis and don't know how they are vented. I am pretty sure they do not have screen tops. I would definately look for one a little shorter, 12" or so.

Is this kinda what you are looking at?

I think this will be fine for an adult bp size wise. Still may need to cover 3 sides for added security and I DO NOT like the heat lamp hanging in the tank, I don't think that has to be there though. Not too sure about the vented corners either, that could cause issues with heat and humidity. If it were me I would choose a regular 20L over this, only advantage with this is they are stackable.
