Feeding question
My first feeding attempt didn't go over so well when I unknowingly cooked the rat in hot water for too long, then accidentally dropping it causing it to explode all over my floor. Don't want a mess in my tank so I threw it out.
Anyways, whens the best time of day to try to feed? If I try to feed it in the morning, can I try again at night with the same rat as long as I heat it up again?
Thanks

Lol...boil that sucker up and you've got yourselves a rat grenade. Looked like a murder scene.
So if i try to feed him now, and he doesnt take it, can I use the same rat for tonight?

Re: Feeding question
I personally will not re-offer a thawed rat that is more than 5 hours old (since starting the thaw process).
Just offer it at night, if he doesn't take it, leave it in the enclosure with him. If it is still there in the morning, throw it away.
Don't offer him food and then offer again a few hours later if he refuses, if he refused, he refused. Try again next week. Offering over and over again in small intervals will make the snake less likely to eat. You are more likely to get him to eat if you wait a full week before offering again.

Yup...and he loves he. He does laps around it all night long, hasnt fallen once.
Also, i left the rat in the cage (thawed), under the 65watt moon lamp. If he doesnt take it by the morning, can I freeze it and offer it some other time? like do i have to worry about decay or some disease forming? I have dry ice if it matters.

If you are leaving it in over night and it is still there in the morning, throw it away.
