why hasnt it happened yet?
my male and female normals were locking up since november. locking for hours at a time everyday they were together. i would have sworn to see some kind of OV by now or something. i have been pleasantly surprised with her colors when comparing to all my friends snakes. she is extremely light and has nice huge flames up her side. a very plain pattern on her belly and bright yellow sides. maybe im just now noticing it but i dont remember her looking this good before. i was thinking it was her "glowing" but seeing that she hasnt OVd yet im having second thoughts. im praying that ive just missed it and get some surpise eggs but i doubt it.. they havent eaten in months and the last 2 weeks shes been completly ignoring him... could it be him???? maybe hes too young? hes about 700g. idk but she has been on the cool side more which doesnt make much of a difference because of the fact that ive been cooling her. but the lack of locks lately has me worried. i guess i dont know what my question is but any suggestions or help would be great.

Re: why hasnt it happened yet?
Is she eating? If the answer is no, then no worries. Just peek in once in a while, and you just might find eggs. Especially right after a thunderstorm.
Some of mine are still locking, some of mine are ovulating, and a couple have already laid eggs.
I have been breeding balls for 3 years now, and I just photographed my first definition ovulation yesterday. I MISSED all the previous ones, lol.
I try to leave them alone as much as possible at this time, as it always happens that when I haven't checked on them for a day, I come in the next morning and find eggs. I think they choose a time when it's quiet and they're undisturbed.
If she is still eating, but is refusing the male...well, keep an eye out just in case, but chances are lower for eggs this year. You should have the temperatures back up by now, by the way, so do that, if you haven't already.
I didn't cool mine this year--and so far, the results are fantastic. We'll see how it compares with last year, after the eggs are all laid.

They glow BEFORE they go. If she's glowing, then you still have an ovulation coming.

Agree, Glowing starts two to three weeks before ovulation. They ovulate and the snake goes back to its darker colors. The snake will shed in most cases two weeks after ovulation.
I have a couple of females that have already ovulated, a couple about to ovulate any day, and I have females just getting folicles and some with no folicles. The weather has been very different here in Tx this year anad my animals are going later then usual. The same is happening with friends of mine.

I would wait for the next shed and count down 30 days, keep doing that till you see eggs.
I had a girl make me wait 2 years once

Re: why hasnt it happened yet?
i think the "glow" might just be her normal color. maybe i never realized it until i had other darker snakes to compare her too. she does have beautiful blushing tho. my reasoning for this is because shes been exhibiting thes colors for some time now ( a month or 2)
