Red face Is this the ovy? I think it is

    Hi,

For the first time EVAH!!! Salome has decided that breeding might be an ok idea.

I have been pairing her up with the lesser and the black pastel ever since the first breeding in November 2009 - January 2010 when she was paired with my normal male.

I didn't see any copulations that I have written down ( but I muzzily seem to remember at least one lock with the normal ).

So does this look like an ovulation or just a really big build?

LOOKS like a build, seems a little high up for an OVY....

But this is my first year breeding....

It would say a build, ovulation is a bit further down most times..?.Good things are heading your way.

Hope this image helps. This female is 1400g in picture, and this was her ovulation.

Yours could be a ovulation since shes a smaller girl. Just check back in 24 hours. if gone then you know

    Hi,

The bulge is definately a lot higher in Sal at the moment.

She is 2600g+ and the flat sections of the floor between the channels are 3.5 inches wide if that helps.

Forgot to mention once they ovulate and if you catch one, you will notice the tail suck as well.

It could be a "build" or you may have just missed it. Wait a few days and then palpate her...you should be able to tell if it was then.

It does look kinda high also.

Re: Is this the ovy? I think it is

    Hi,

I still haven't gotten round to palpating her.

But last night and today (17 days later ) she just shed.

The swelling is definately further down her body now - I'll throw the lesser in with her again in a couple of days ( he is refusing food right now so I was giving him a week off to se if it helped ).
