    Weird eating habits.

I was feeding my ball pythons tonight, and decided I'm bored enough to make this thread.

I have a couple balls who will only feed if I do certain things.
-I have one female who will only eat black rats, or rats with a black head, if they're grey, white, or beige she will not eat.
-I have one female who will only eat if I leave the rat in with her for a while (sometimes overnight, but usually she has it gone in 15min).
-I have one male who will only eat when I dangle the food, and wiggle it for at least 15-30 seconds while he's wrapped, if I don't he'll release and not eat.

If I meet all those conditions however they all eat perfectly fine.

Now, all I wanted to know is, what are some other weird eating habits have other experienced?

Glad mine feed in their own enclosures, the smell would drive my allergies nuts! That is an odd one, hehe.

sounds like ball pythons just being picky! Some are much more picky than others.

I have thankfully never had a problem with a picky eater.

Oh I have many good eaters! I was just wondering if anyone else had multiple balls (at least 15+) who's seen picky eaters and found strange ways to make them eat.

I didn't need any advice, as I mentioned, as long as I do certain things, they will eat. Just one in every 20 seems to have an odd method of eating that they prefer, like the female who only eats black rats.

i have one that won't eat if there's anyone in the room. and, you have to stay gone until she's eaten it. if i come back in the room before she's started swallowing it, she'll drop it and not touch it until i leave the room again.
