    Exclamation Super-Window Egg...

I have a female laying right now.

Yeah so.....so here is the thing...

One of the eggs in about 90% translucent! The shell/membrane is clear except for a small part of it that appears to be normal.

Has anyone ever heard of this?

I will get pictures soon as she is done laying....

    Re: Super-Window Egg...

She just dropped another one....but this one is entirely clear!!!

Is this some sort of calcium deficiency?

She has dropped 6 eggs and is still going...pics to follow...

    Re: Super-Window Egg...

Interesting theory on the calcium theory, though I dont really know how you could do anything about it diet wise.

I too have seen some large window eggs do just fine.

Is she dropping on her due date?

    Re: Super-Window Egg...

Man! I've had large windows that did just fine, but not the whole egg.... I'm also waiting for pics! That would be SO great to document if they are fertile, and go full term! Keeping all the crossables crossed!

Wow...I really hope that they are ok because it will be awesome to get to see the babies develop! I wonder if they will stay clear? Will having more light bother the babies?
