    Pine bedding/Corn snake

    Yes or no?
I just read that it can be bad for my corn. I also use it for my Rosy Boa and Kingsnake.
Am I doing something harmful for the snakes?
Should I switch to paper towel or newspaper ASAP?
I'm reading conflicting info on the web and thought I'd pose the question to the knowledgeable people here.

Pine and cedar have oils that can harm the snake (upper respiratory and the like). Aspen's going to be the better choice for wood bedding

I would switch to paper towels or newspaper, at least until you acquire some aspen.

Yes, there are some mixed thoughts. As snoopy said, in theory, there are harmful chemicals released which have the potential to create problems, although I have never heard scientific finality on the subject.
    Is the risk worth it?

When in doubt throw it out. I'd definatly change them over to paper ASAP until you can get some aspen From my reading.

So long as your pine is kiln dried you should have no problems with it.

Switched. Thanks for the responses! Now, if I could just find a sore that stocks SaniChips near me.
