Which thermostat?
Do you recommend? Herpstat, Helix, Ranco, or Johnson? Or is there another one you recommend?
Thanks

Re: Which thermostat?
I own a ranco, I'm not sure how a herpstat works but I know people love them. My double Ranco works pretty good, then again it's the only one I ever owned.
I never was able to find out if they work with UTH pads and have a outlet strip or what?
But I know the herpstat 2 with 2 settable temps made me drool.

Depends on what your going to be running with it....
Oil filled room heaters- Ranco's here. Though the JC are fine too.
Racks/incubators/cages-Herpstat's all the way. I have a Pro and LOVE it.

Re: Which thermostat?
If budget isn't a concern, Herpstat FTW!! I have a Herpstat Pro, and its the best thing I've ever spent $$$ on in this hobby (other than the animals, of course!)
If you're on a budget then probably a Ranco.

Re: Which thermostat?
Look at coldbloodedcages.com for a great price and free shipping on the herpestad, and defenetly go with the ND, makes your life much easier, and if you want extra bling for 3 bucks more go with the blue face on it, they are very reliable! Had mine for more then a year and wouldn't keep snakes with out them anymore!

Re: Which thermostat?
I've been using Helix for years and have never had a problem. Looks nice too.
