Re: Is my setup too big for my crestie?
now im no speciallist here but for 1, I believe that may be too big, specially for her size. I do believe a 10 would be fine for a 12g crestie.

I'd wait until your gecko was at least 20 grams before moving it up to the 20 gallon.

my 12 gram female is in a critter keeper with smaller cresties its easier to feed them in a smaller enclosure when there adults a enclosure the size of a 10 gallon is perfect

Re: Is my setup too big for my crestie?
That looks like a great enclosure, but yeah it could be a bit big. I prefer to go too small than too big with younger geckos, just to make sure they are able to find their food dishes and everything. Just make sure there are plenty of hiding spaces.
Go hit up wal-mart and find some sterilite or rubbermaid container. I've found numerous sizes that are PERFECT for intermediate gecko enclosures.
For your gecko right now you really don't need to provide 3 feet of height. I'd give it 10-12 inches or so of height and call it good.
Get something cheap and temporary.

Ok yes it is big but I personally think it’s not a matter of it being to big it more a matter of it not being busy enough. I personally think it needs lots more plants and hiding places and it will be perfect for the little fellow!
Btw it looks great!

I want to house them together if I can. but I think huntington is a male and Rustee is lookin to be the same but I'm not sure.. Thank you for the info.. you rock!
