I Got Our Bedroom Painted Finally!

I'm so excited I just had to share. Some people love it, some people hate it. My mom thinks I was absolutely insane to do all the work, but I think it was totally worth it! I spent 9 hours straight painting, no break, no eating, just painting and getting high off all the fumes. Man I had a headache! It makes you kind of dizzy at first when you go in there, we'll see if my mom still likes it when she see's it in person. I'm not terribly talented in measuring.



And no we don't like to match I'm thinking I need to make a new bed spread, that's our winter one-which is suede-that's why it looks funny, and our summer one is black. My little sis says I need to do a solid color that matches one of the colors and make pillow cases that match another color or two. I think that would be pretty neat! I have no clue what to do with that painting though, I'm running out of rooms to put it in!!! And I need to make curtains to match, man I should have just left it white!

I like it! I agree w/ the solid bed spread... you might also get the horses matted to match the new bedding? A solid color. I think that would compliment the blues in it w/ the blue on your wall... Also... if it was possible, I'd loose the headboard... and paint/stain the remaining wood work to match the chocolate color? Might be a little extreme... but it's just what popped into my noggin'! And it's scary in there... Again, great job!

Thank you! My fiance wasn't thrilled with the colors, but I told him I asked him to help me a million times and he never would so he couldn't complain. Now that it's all done he likes the colors.

I definitely need some solids in there!!! That's a great idea about the painting! The matting looks terrible, and I bet putting a solid color in there to match would look so much better!

Oh man, my fiance would kill me if I tore apart the bedroom set and restained it We have oak floors that are just a tad lighter than the bedroom set, I couldn't get a great picture because I had just moved the bed and still had all the painting crap on the other side of the room. We have a HUGE matching dresser, we're talking 6 1/2 feet long, where I was standing also. I hate that thing. I suppose that's what happens when you let a man choose a bedroom set. I wasn't around yet I had a nice, small antique bedroom set, and it was all dark wood!

I love it! Those colors are some of my favorite for painting rooms. I've been watching ALOT of HGTV, I think the color scheme looks straight from something one of the shows would do!

I think the posters you are looking for are along the other wall, another reason I only took a picture of this corner No warnings for me!!! We have a lot of prints and books that I ordered from Germany, from one of my favorite photographers-Stefan May. Pascal Baetens is also a favorite of mine I love black and white photography.

Really?! Oh I'm so glad people like the colors! I don't watch HGTV, but my finace does! I'm surprised he didn't like the colors at first since you say HGTV likes these colors.
