I picked up a royal python on friday after having a corn snake lost for 4 months. With my cornsnake i held her from the day i got her and she had no problems with handlind or feeding. With my ball python on the other hand, i got her out the day after i got her and she was fine but she seems to strike at me every now and again but not actually bite me. I tried feeding her the day after i got her as the shop said that was her feeding day but sadly there was no response and she didnt feed.
A little bit of information:
Temperature is 90 degrees on a hot spot with the cool end around 80 degrees
humidity is about 20 atm as i dont have a spray bottle that can be used to increase humidity, ( any tips on how to raise it would be great.)
and her night temperature is 80 degrees hot spot and around 75-80 in the cooler end.
I didnt come into the ball python keeping ready enough as i thought it was going to be as simple as keeping a corn, which i kept one for about 6 years and was happy.
Thanks in advance, Harry
