what does the female normally do if you pair after an ovulation?
Hi, So I'm sure my Het albino ovulated on the 2nd (my first year) I put a male back in with her jusrt after and I was really confused because they locked, does this ever happen if she has actually ovulated?
I haven't paired her since then til today, she just had what should be her pre lay shed and has gone from always being in the cool to the heat now, everything else seems to add up both leading up to ovulation and after, except tha. so I just put a male back in with her, what should she act like?
Thanks
Charlotte

This is my first year, but I've had two females ovulate, and they both completely ignore my males now. So I'd think that's the natural order
Not sure though. I've also heard that some breeders will pair until eggs are dropped.

I had a female last year I missed the ovulation on, so I kept pairing her with my cinnamon male. He locked up with her as late as the day before she laid. I remember because she tagged me when I pulled him out that night, and how surprised I was to find her laying eggs the next morning (though less confused as to why she tagged me).
