When should i start feeding my bp rats?

My bp is over 1 year old, he's over 2 ft long. Idk how much he weighs, but when should i start feeding him rats? Or can i just feed 2 mice instead of 1 rat?

It's up to you you can offer rats anytime, most my snakes have never even seen a mouse they are started on rats.

Feed what works and is convenient to you if you want to keep feeding mice you can do so also.

Again up to you and your snake

Re: When should i start feeding my bp rats?

I start them on rat fuzzies as babies and just up the size of the rat as they grow. I think it's a pain to have to feed multiple mice. But that's just me. Some people will feed their balls multiple mice per feeding their whole lives. I'd say if he'll take a rat to stop feeding mice now and keep him on rats the rest of his life.

    This!

It's mostly up to the snake though. If he won't take a rat, just stick with mice. If rats are more convenient for you, there's no harm in trying. But if he prefers mice and there's no real reason to switch him, just keep him happy with mice.
