I'm a music nut. When I'm not playing music I'm listening to it. I listen to a little of everything, although my favorite genres would have to be alternative and classic rock. A few of my favorite bands include Coldplay, Radiohead, R.E.M., The Dresden Dolls, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and Led Zeppelin.

i listen to every thing but i mostly listen to punk metal and hardcore. my fav bands are Madball, Haste the Day, Blue Oyster Cult, Misfits just to name a few.

Ahh cool. If you go to their website it shows the CDs they do. They have all different ones like mash ups, chill out and old skool, with all different artists on. Its basically club music. And you can just look up the songs and artist of the ones you like and use a free youtube to MP3 converter, but yeah who does that *shifty eyes*

My taste is very similar to yours! My absolute favorite band is R.E.M. - I mostly listen to classic rock, alternative & 90s grunge. Guess you get stuck in high school, since I graduated in 1994... LOL. I'm also a classical musician (viola), so I do listen to my share of classical pieces.

Some of my other favorite bands/artists: Queen, Journey, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, The Pixies, Elton John, Billy Joel, Indigo Girls, Sublime, Itzhak Perlman, The Rolling Stones, John Lennon, and many more.

Man, I had to check a lot of boxes on that poll, and several genres had to be lumped under "other." Probably my favorite type of music is the intersection of industrial/electronica and hard rock. KMFDM is a good example, but things like VNV Nation and Icon of Coil are also high on my list. That said, I've got a pretty wide range of music, from Tori Amos & Sarah McLachlan to Marilyn Manson & Rammstein. I really have to disagree with the OP about Coldplay though. They are just awful, as is John Mayer, who sounds to me as though he's asleep while he's singing. Seriously, does that guy down half a bottle of valium before going into the studio?

Hm, oops, I seem to have gone off on a rant there. Too much top 40 pop radio at work, I guess. Does anyone really like hearing the same song 5 times per shift?
